Virtual Dementia Tour
This program is designed for professional training in a clinical or educational setting to educate and sensitize caregivers and medical professionals who interact with seniors to help change the way we care for those with dementia.
Participants will engage with experimental simulation to help understand what dementia may be like. Professionals and caregivers will develop a greater understanding of the challenges faced daily by dementia patients which could result in better care.
Participants will learn how behavior problems in dementia can be viewed as coping strategies thereby changing how we work with them. Attendees will earn 1.5 CEU credits for Social Work.
